NOTES: Note #1: The following notes have been contributed by Don Bennett <dab533@verizon.net>: Daniel Bennett is Don's Great Grand Uncle. Daniel was born 15 April 1830 and DIed 28 Sept. 1867. He married Sophia Rositer on 24 Feb. 1853. She was born 29 Jan. 1833 and died 3 Oct. 1900. Daniel was a member of K Company, 145th PA Inf. Div. from 14 Aug. 1862 to July 1865. He died a short time later. He never recovered from problems from the war. Note #2: The following notes have been contributed by Don Bennett <dab533@verizon.net>: Daniel & Jane Rositer's stone is lying on the ground. Daniel Rosieter was b. 17 Aug. 1835, d. 1919 and Jane (Furgerson) Rositer, his 1st wife, was b. 1834, d. 1880. Huldah (Lille) his second wife was b. 1844, d. 1911. There are two memorial stones for Daniel and Jane Rositer. One is lying on the ground in this cemetery (Old Grove Cemetery) and another nicer memorial stone is in East Springfield Cemetery. |
