The Plaque on the East end of the viaduct

The Plaque on the West end of the viaduct

This is the bridge from the top side..going East
Who would have ever thought that this viaduct would look so beautiful from the railroad tracks beneath?

From the East end...looking West.

Next is what the bridge looks like when you are approaching it from below......

The Design of this Viaduct is quite elaborate....
Of course there is the usual graffiti below..

As you approach the hill, you can see the massive arches and braces that cross the railroad tracks below.

Next you can see some of the concrete that has broken away .... and ....

The Pink Paint is showing where all the cracks and broken spots on the bridge are located.
It is sad to say that our bridge has seen it's better times.  Age has taken it's toll on this fine work.

This is a view of the bridge from the other side.

A part of history will be gone forever....... and it will be replaced with a modern, more efficient viaduct.
