A. C. Dibble

Conneaut Twp. -
A. C. DIBBLE, the son of Ezra and Deborah Dibble, was born in the State of New York, Aug. 10, 1810.  Mr. A. C. Dibble has resided in the township of Conneaut since 1825.  His father was a native of Massachusetts, where he was born June 30, 1778, and his mother, of Conneaut.  The date of her birth is Nov. 14, 1781.  His mother died in Conneaut township, Aug. 7, 1848, and his father in the same place, Feb. 15, 1856.  MrDibble came to Ashtabula County with his parents in 1810.  His education was such as he was able to acquire in the common district schools during the winter months of his boyhood.  MrDibble is a useful and worthy citizen, and has ever been held in high esteem by his fellow-denizens.  He has held numerous offices in his township ; has been justice of the peace since 1854; has held the office of township trustee and assessor. In 1834, Mar. 15, he was united in marriage with Diadena de Marauville.  Their children have been Deborah A., born Oct. 10, 1841, who was married to Rufus Frock, and now living in Amboy; and Ezra H. Dibble, born Oct. 3, 1844, is married and is living in Dallas county, Iowa.  MrDibble lost his wife Apr. 27, 1874, and on the 1st day of October, 1876, married Ellen M. Fuller, with whom he is now living.  A Republican in politics and a member of the Free and Accepted Masonic society, he occupies an influential position among his neighbors, by all of whom he is held in high esteem.
