GEORGE J. PUTNICKI
DALLAS, TX — George John Putnicki passed to a better life on January 27th, in

youngest of seven children. Very early on, his athletic talents in baseball and
football began to blossom. He was known as “the Ted Williams of Conneaut”
and later excelled in college football. During his bowling career, he almost
bowled a perfect 300 as his team’s anchor.
After graduating Conneaut High School, he served his country as a staff
sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps. Upon returning from his years in the service,
he went on to attend John Carroll University, where he was awarded the Varsity

retirement from the government, he ran his own noise consulting firm and taught
at the University of Texas at Dallas.
But, for all he accomplished in life, the things that made him so special were
his love for people, his kind heart and a smile that would light up the room. He
loved playing every sport, later adding golf to the list. He loved going to the
horse races with his buddies and sometimes picking a winner. When blindness,
mobility issues and kidney problems limited his activities, he still loved
listening to sports, “talking horses” with his friends, and watching Mass every
day. He did his best to make every day count.
